HOME STAGING MUST HAVES

Updated: May 27, 2020

Looking for a clean, organized look for your kitchen? Here is my go-to grouping trick!

This business started with a dream, probably by the kitchen sink. So, I thought it was appropriate to write Forty Nine Interior's first blog post about ... well, the kitchen sink.

While I do a ton of decorating and design work, I started this business with a focus on home staging, which I still love to do as well. Part of a successful home stage is connecting to buyers emotionally. You want to spell out the amazing life they're going to live in the home. Surround them with simple, yet more luxurious feeling products. A clean and organized lifestyle that will have them feeling that they, too, want and can live like that ... if, they buy this house!

I bet you've heard that kitchen and master bathrooms sell houses. Think back to the last time you bought a house, or maybe you're currently shopping for one? You love to picture how you'll use the kitchen, right? (And, of course, it must be beautiful! But, that's an entirely different post!) This little vignette is my go-to set up for kitchen sinks. Using trays is a great way to add instant organization and elevation. Believe it or not, it really helps add definition to a space. Luxurious looking soaps and kitchen supplies help create the emotional connections that home staging is all about. It gets to that "I want to live like this" feeling that we want home buyers to feel in the property. (I know it sounds funny, but picture seeing a kitchen with a half-used bottle of dial vs. a kitchen that has this beautiful setup. Big difference, right?)

If you love this look, I've linked up where you can get your hands on this set-up. Add it to your own kitchen, or, if you're a home stager, grab the goods for your next job! Please note that this post includes affiliate links. Each sale made through one of these links, rewards me with a small commission, with no additional cost to you!

I've grouped all of the items from one retailer for extra simplicity ... please note, I recommend the smaller, 10.5" wood tray, and I like the blue towels to coordinate with the soaps and because blue is a universally loved color and very often works well as an accent.

Thank you for visiting and happy staging! Please let us know if we can be of assistance.
